Use of Handheld NRC™ 2003 increases efficiency of aircraft inspection process.

NORCROSS, Georgia, June 16, 2003 - Perceptive Solutions, Inc., a mobile computing software company, today announced that Lockheed Martin Aircraft & Logistics Centers’ (LMALC) Greenville Aircraft Center, a leading supplier of third-party military aircraft maintenance, has gone "live" with Perceptive’s Handheld NRC 2003, the commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) version of Perceptive’s handheld inspection software.

LMALC Greenville required a cost-effective, wireless application that would integrate with their existing SAP implementation. With Perceptive’s Handheld NRC 2003, LMALC Greenville received the required flexibility from a COTS software solution.

Handheld NRC 2003, an advanced computing solution using handheld devices and client-server software, lets LMALC inspectors write discrepancy reports electronically using a handheld computer. Handheld NRC walks an inspector procedurally through completing discrepancy reports. Once complete the software wirelessly uploads the data to SAP. LMALC has deployed Handheld NRC for use with both US Navy and US Air Force maintenance lines.
