PERCEPTIVE ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF NEW HANDHELD SOFTWARE VERSION IN SEPTEMBER OF 2005

New version of Handheld NRC(tm) redesigned for Microsoft’s .NET platform

ALPHARETTA, Georgia, June 15, 2005 - Perceptive Solutions, Inc., a leader in handheld solutions for the aviation maintenance industry, announced today the development of a new version of Handheld NRC. The new version, called RedStone, offers an enhanced feature set and handheld software redesigned for the .NET Compact Framework. The components that comprise the RedStone server-side web services continue to support both operating system and database independence. "The .NET Compact Framework enables RedStone to support a broad range of industrial handheld devices running Pocket PC 2003 and Windows CE .NET," said Jim Remshik, Vice President Operations of Perceptive Solutions. "Ultimately, .NET enables RedStone to offer customers high quality technical solutions that make good business sense," Remshik continued. In addition to the new .NET client, RedStone makes all features available from the desktop through a web interface. Customers using RedStone can integrate their shop floor with the rest their corporate IT environment providing real-time information flow to and from the shop floor. As a bolt-on, RedStone ensures accurate, compliant aircraft records while allowing MRO organizations to preserve their investment in existing specialized technology systems. All major development is completed and a pilot of RedStone is expected to begin in July of 2005. RedStone will be available in general release in September.
