
The most visible change is of course the new name, RedStoneTM. Originally we called our software HNRCTM, an acronym standing for Handheld Non Routine Card. Perceptive chose to re-brand HNRC as RedStone to provide stronger name recognition. This will help avoid confusion in marketplace and with existing customers.
Because RedStone includes re-branding, there is a strong "Look and Feel" component to RedStone. But RedStone introduces far more than cosmetic changes. Major new features exist in each core RedStone Module.
The RedStone Handheld was completely rewritten using C# and Microsoft’s .NET Compact Framework. This provides:

All activities, including creating non-routines, can now be performed from the RedStone Desktop
The core of RedStone. RedStone Server is a robust, stable java server application. RedStone Server technology has run continuously since 2001 delivering nearly 100% uptime. The same stable core under pins the newest release.
